We’re counting it…

It’s official as of today – Maeve is crawling! She started out going in circles and then backwards over the past few days, but today she moved significantly forward. She basically is on all fours using her right foot with her one leg out straight.  It’s adorable and we’re so proud of her! The photo and video galleries are up-to-date…

I gotta gal in Kalamazoo…

Maeve made her first trip to Kalamazoo this weekend. She enjoyed dining at Redamak’s, seeing her friend Sierra, and having a daddy/daughter date night! Maeve also visited the K College campus for the first time… The highlight though was seeing Paula – the bachelorette! The photos are in the gallery.

Before we left for the weekend, Mommy and Nanna took Maeve to Pinky’s with Aunt Katie, and then Nanna and Maeve enjoyed some quiet time reading about Matisse…

9 month check-up

Weight – 16 lbs. 15 oz. (Grandad and Aunt Peggy were equally distributed on either side with their guesses – congratulations!)

Length – 27 1/2″

Head – 17 3/4″

Nanna accompanied us to the pediatrician tonight for our well-baby visit with Daddy out of town for work. We got a great report and Maeve is right on target developmentally! Her doctor was very impressed with her many abilities, including how she turns the pages of her books!

9 months old and happy father’s day!

Maeve is growing up so fast… she is on the verge of crawling and loves to clap her hands and bang toys together. We also think she has waved a couple of times to her daddy. We will go to the pediatrician on Thursday for a check-up (hopefully no shots this time!)…

Almost crawling

Maeve enjoyed some quality time with Daddy and Grandad this weekend on father’s day, which was also her first boating adventure! I will post more pictures in the gallery this week.

Mid-June update

Maeve is coming up on 9 months old next week. We cannot believe it! We had a busy and fun time last weekend out with friends and having Grandma come to visit. Here are some pictures and there are more in the gallery!

We are looking forward to visiting Nanna and Grandad’s boat this weekend and celebrating Chris’ first father’s day and our second wedding anniversary!

Happy Birthday Aunt Megan!

I never updated after Memorial Day weekend – sorry. We had a really fun night out to dinner with our Restaurant Club friends from Kalamazoo College on Friday night, then a great trip up to Madison to visit our friends Karen and Mike. Their daughter Sierra is only one month younger than Maeve, so it was such a ball to watch them play! On Memorial Day we enjoyed a barbeque with the Steeves and Zlatka took Maeve back over to play with Gwen later in the week. We had a bit of a rough week with Maeve and Mommy both sick, but we recovered nicely and had a wonderful weekend with Nanna and Grandad visiting. We had Aunt Peggy, Larry and Auntie Anne over on Friday night for dinner and went to Aunt Megan and Uncle Pat’s for a BBQ on Saturday to celebrate Aunt Megan’s birthday. Today was spent gardening!

In other exciting developments, Maeve cut her first tooth on Friday and is trying really hard to figure out how to crawl! She’ll get her arms and legs moving and get her butt up off the ground, but can’t quite put it all together. There are many new photos and a few new fun videos in the galleries…
