We cannot believe our baby is 3 years old today! Maeve had a super fun party at Pump It Up this morning, bouncing around with her friends. Then she enjoyed her new scooter when we got home! We are blessed to be able to celebrate with so many family and friends, and lucky to have such a happy and healthy little girl. A breakthrough?
It’s too soon to say if it’s the beginning of a solid trend, but we had a major potty breakthrough today. Maeve, after running around naked in the backyard and playing in the pool this afternoon, proactively told us she needed to go to the bathroom. She proceeded to have peeps on the potty 5 (FIVE!!!) times total today – all initiated by her realizing she had to go! 2 times before dinner, 2 times before bath, and 1 time before bed. We are so proud of her!!! Stay tuned for more progress as we approach her 3rd birthday this weekend…
Maeve’s 1st charitable donation
We are so proud of Maeve – she saved all the change from her piggy bank this summer to become a Change Maker! She donated all of it ($51.12!) today to Eric & Kathy’s 10th Annual 36-Hour Radiothon for Children’s Memorial Hospital. We feel so fortunate that Maeve is healthy and we have not had to go to Children’s…but we could not be more thankful to know that it is there. We support the Radiothon every year (airing now through Saturday at 6 p.m.) because the stories are both inspiring and heartbreaking. Children’s Memorial Hospital never turns a family away when their child needs service and the doctors conduct research that will hopefully prevent life-threatening illnesses and save children’s lives. Labor Day weekend
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. We are back from a fun trip to Michigan visiting with family and friends. Highlights included Eastern Market, the Grosse Pointe pool, some excellent meals, and a surprise visit from Paula and baby Ryan! Pictures are already up and the countdown is on to the birthday…
