Maeve spent her first nap and overnight in her big girl bed yesterday and she did great! We set up my old full mattress on the floor in her room and left the bar down on her crib so she could choose where she wanted to sleep. She seemed really excited about the bed right away! Of course, she got up a number of times because she could and I had to take away some items (a flashlight, a puzzle)…but eventually fell asleep for her nap.
At bed time she was restless again, so we went back up a couple of times. The last time I went she told me she didn’t want her flashlight because it was making scary shapes on the ceiling. I thought she fell asleep after that, only to come upstairs later to find her door open, a cat on her bed and Maeve in ours! ADORABLE. Chris carried her back to hers where she slept on her own until 7:30 a.m. – we continue to be so proud of our big girl!!!
